Need for Speed Most Wanted

This was the last NFS game I genuinely enjoyed. It has a simple yet cool story, an amazing selection of cars, a great location, etc.

The game starts off as the player being new to Rockport. While cruising through the streets with your custom and unique BMW M3 GTR, you get pulled over by the most infamous police officer in the district, a bounty hunter named Sgt. Cross. After your little run-in featuring a threatening warning, he takes off to answer a call.
Shortly after this, you end up in a race with a racer known as Razor. He challenges you to a race, but he only races for pink slips. Wanting to make a name for yourself, you accept.

During the race, you ultimately dominate him. Until about half way, when your car "breaks down". It is clear he sabotaged your car, causing you to lose.

The system of this game works around something called "The Blacklist". This is the 15 most notorious street racers in the city. When you first met, Razor was 15 (being the lowest) and used your car to get to the top. Now you must race and beat all the other 14 drivers on The Blacklist to get to Razor, beat him and you become the Most Wanted racer in the city (hence the name), as well as win your car back.

This game mixed in a NFS Underground style with a twist. You have full exploration free-roaming of the city, and unlimited races to take part in. But watch out for the police, they are relentless.

This game also remains one of my favorite racing games, but was (in my opinion) the last genuinely good Need for Speed game.
